The second Hamburg housing initiative saw the construction of a modern multi-generational residential complex in the Eimsbüttel district of Hamburg. The architectural practice "NeuStadtArchitekten" designed a five-storey passive complex with 16 private apartments, two communal areas, an underground car park and two staircases for a joint building venture.

To meet the funding conditions imposed by the city of Hamburg, the architectural practice based its design on the concept of the "passive house". The GEALAN vinyl windows with an installation depth of 83 mm and triple insulating glazing meet the high standards required for passive house suitability.
