GEALAN’s Building Information Modelling (BIM) data offering has again won over the jury at the 2021 Architects’ Darling® Award and has been named – for the second time since 2020 – the best solution in the construction industry nationwide.
And again GEALAN has the best solution on-hand: the 2021 ARCHITECTS’ DARLING® has once more gone to GEALAN in the “Best BIM data offering” category! The PVC system provider, based in Oberkotzau, thus confirms its pioneering role in terms of digital planning.
For the eleventh time in a row, Germany’s construction industry searched for the best performance, products and services nationwide – and once again found what they were looking for at GEALAN. After third place in 2019 and first place in the same category last year, the 2021 ARCHITECTS’ DARLING® in gold for the “best BIM data offering” has once again gone to GEALAN. Every construction industry company from all over Germany was eligible to compete.
“This second gold in a row is an endorsement of our solution-oriented work and shows us that we’re developing the right tools for the window business of the future”, says a pleased Özkan Arslan, Head of Digital Planning at GEALAN, who adds: “Being awarded the 2021 ARCHITECTS’ DARLING® means that we’ve understood what our partners really need in terms of their planning issues. What I am able to promise: we will not rest on our laurels and will continue to work steadily to expand our BIM offering and perfectly match our clients’ and partners’ needs”.
As Özkan Arslan points out, this great success is the work of a large number of people at GEALAN: “I’d especially like to thank all my colleagues for their support – and especially express my gratitude to our management, who always act as the development engine and a source of inspiration in this regard. It’s this unbridled joy in innovation that allows us to develop so well at GEALAN”.
When it comes to visual 3D modelling of windows and doors in buildings, GEALAN’s Gold Solution has a lot to offer: with GEALAN’s BIM offer, a realistic simulation with the latest products in various levels of detail is possible. To this end, predefined on the one hand, but also freely plannable window and door elements of any type and shape are available. And so that architects don’t get any sort of surprise during the tendering process: the technical feasibility of the desired project can be checked in advance using the GEALAN solution. The exterior view of buildings can also be displayed using GEALAN’s software, including the simulated windows and doors. In addition, the size of the 3D model data has been optimised to ensure fluid applications at all times. Moreover, the project structure has been integrated into Planersoftware 2.0 as part of GEALAN’s BIM solution. This simplifies the exchange of information and geometric data between participants enormously.

On 1 July, it was exactly 10 years since VEKA AG from Sendenhorst, one of the leading manufacturers of PVC profile systems for windows and doors, took over 100% of the shares in the system house GEALAN Fenster-Systeme GmbH, headquartered in Oberkotzau, Upper Franconia.
A good two years have passed since the ground-breaking ceremony at GEALAN's Tanna site – now the new fully automated high-bay warehouse has been officially inaugurated in the presence of numerous high-profile guests. In the meantime, the 16-million-euro new building has already been put into operation.
With a lead programme and showroom design, GEALAN will provide window manufacturers and dealers with even better support in their day-to-day business in the future. Suitable GEALAN furniture and planning services for the in-house showroom are already available. When registering for the GEALAN lead programme, retailers and manufacturers will receive targeted enquiries from private customers from this summer.
